Connect Asana and monday.com and create tasks
Connect Asana or monday.com once, then create a task or item from a press release or blog post, with a link back to the draft.
- 1In Marcomm, go to Settings → Integrations → Asana (or monday.com) and select Connect.
- 2Sign in to the service and select Allow on its consent screen.
- 3Open a press release, or a blog post in the editor, and select Create task in the menu at the top. Then choose Asana or monday.com.
- 4Choose the project (Asana) or board (monday.com), and add a note if you like.
- 5Select Create task. When it is done, select Open in Asana or Open in monday.com to see it.
Marcomm remembers the last project or board you chose for each tool, in the browser you are using.
Each time you select Create task, Marcomm creates one Asana task or one monday.com item with the title of the press release or blog post, a link back to it in Marcomm, and its current status. Your note is added to the description. In monday.com, the status, your note and the link are in the item's first update.
Marcomm only creates. It does not read your tasks back or keep them in sync, so later changes in either place do not carry over, and it never edits or deletes existing tasks or items. It asks only to see your projects or boards and to create new ones.
Each person connects their own account, and a connection is visible only to the person who made it. Tasks and items are created in your name. When you select Disconnect on the same Integrations page, the saved access token is deleted.
In monday.com, open an item that was created from Marcomm and select the Marcomm AI tab. It shows whether the source is a press release or a blog post, its status when the item was created, and a button that opens it in Marcomm. The Create a press release draft with AI button writes an AI draft in Marcomm from the item's text. It uses the AI credits of the workspace you select, and you review the draft in Marcomm. To use this tab, reconnect Marcomm AI in monday.com first.
FAQs
- The project list is empty. What should I do?
- Marcomm may have lost access, or your account may have no project or board. If access was removed, the dialog says so; reconnect on Settings → Integrations. Marcomm lists up to 100 Asana projects per workspace and the 100 monday.com boards you used most recently, so open a missing board in monday.com once and try again.
- The monday.com item has no update with the status and link. Why?
- Marcomm adds them as the item's first update. If the update is missing, reconnect monday.com on Settings → Integrations, allow the permissions it asks for, and check that you can post updates on that board.
- Do changes in Asana or monday.com show up in Marcomm?
- No. The task or item is a one-time copy of the title, link and status. Marcomm does not read it back.
- Can I create more than one task from the same press release?
- Yes. Each time creates a new task or item. Marcomm does not check for ones you made before.
- How do I disconnect?
- Select Disconnect on Settings → Integrations → Asana or monday.com. The saved token is deleted. You can also remove Marcomm AI from the connected apps in Asana or monday.com.
