Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Marcomm
Let Claude or ChatGPT read your press releases, blog posts and news coverage, and save drafts for approval, using your own Marcomm account.
- 1Open your workspace in Marcomm and check Settings → AI tool connections. Connections are on by default, and an administrator can turn them off there.
- 2In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and add a custom connector. In ChatGPT, turn on developer mode and add a connector under Settings → Connectors.
- 3Enter the server address https://app.marcomm.works/api/mcp and a name such as Marcomm.
- 4Sign in to Marcomm when asked, choose the workspace, and select Allow.
- 5Ask in plain words, for example: Summarize last week's coverage of our company, or Draft a press release about our new product.
- 6To disconnect, open Settings → AI tool connections in Marcomm and select Disconnect.
Claude and ChatGPT use the same server address. Each person connects with their own Marcomm sign-in.
The connection acts as you. It sees only what your role in the workspace allows, and guests cannot connect. It can read press releases, blog posts, monitored companies, news coverage, outlets and journalist coverage statistics (name, outlet, dates and sentiment). Journalist email addresses and phone numbers are never shared.
It can also save press release and blog drafts, change drafts that are not published yet, and send a draft to approval. Your workspace approval settings decide what happens next: when approval is required the draft goes through the approval steps, and when it is not, a blog post is published only if your role has publish permission. An AI tool never emails a press release to journalists.
The text you ask for is sent to the AI service you connected, such as Claude or ChatGPT, and is handled under that service's terms. Marcomm does not send workspace data to an AI service on its own.
Workspace administrators can turn AI tool connections off in Settings → AI tool connections, which disconnects the current connections. Members can disconnect their own connection at any time.
