Organize with categories, tags and authors
Group posts by topic, label them with tags, and show who wrote them.
- 1Open Blog and select Categories and tags in the menu.
- 2On the Categories tab, type a name and select Add. Drag categories to set the order readers see on the blog home.
- 3Select a category to rename it or to change its address. Old addresses are kept as redirects.
- 4On the Tags tab, add the tags you want to reuse across posts.
- 5Select Authors in the menu and add the people who write for the blog, then pick an author in each post.
Keep the category list short, around five to eight topics, and use tags for the details.
Categories are flat: a post belongs to one category, and each category has its own page on your public blog. Drag them to set the order readers see.
Tags are free labels. A post can have several, and readers can browse the posts that share a tag on the public blog.
Deleting a category or tag never deletes posts. The posts simply lose that label.
Authors are profiles for the blog, separate from workspace members, so a guest writer does not need an account.
